BRIEF
The JAC Electric Hook Lift Garbage Truck, built on the JAC G5 pure-electric chassis, is a zero-emission waste collection solution designed for urban and suburban applications.
Featuring a reinforced hook-lift system, the truck supports multiple interchangeable containers, from residential waste bins to construction waste skips. This “one truck, multiple containers” concept improves fleet utilisation, reduces empty mileage, and allows flexible waste collection across different applications.
Powered by a permanent-magnet synchronous motor and a CATL lithium iron phosphate battery, the vehicle delivers strong performance, long operating range, and efficient energy use. Fast charging, regenerative braking, and low-noise operation help maximise daily productivity while reducing operating costs.
As a fully electric vehicle, it produces zero tailpipe emissions and provides quiet operation, making it suitable for city centres and low-emission areas. With lower energy consumption, fewer maintenance requirements, and reliable electric components, the hook loader garbage truck offers a cost-effective solution for municipalities and waste operators.
FEATURES
1. Powerful All‑Electric Driveline
- Instant torque, silent operation – The permanent‑magnet synchronous motor (peak 160 kW / 217 hp) delivers ample power for fully loaded starts and hill climbing, while the 107 kWh CATL LFP battery pack provides a real‑world range of ~180 km under full load (summer) and ~150 km in winter – sufficient for a full day’s urban collection routes.
- Fast charging – 20‑80% SOC in about 45 minutes, minimising downtime.
- Regenerative braking and ECO mode further extend range, while the integrated electric drive reduces maintenance intervals compared to diesel engines.
2. Robust Hook‑Lift System with 12‑Tonne Capacity
- The reinforced subframe features six container locating brackets that lock the bin firmly, preventing lateral sway even with uneven loads like gravel or demolition waste.
- The main cylinder (160 mm bore, optional 175 mm) and mechanical arm‑locking mechanism ensure safe lifting and dumping. A cast‑steel rear roller, hydraulic outriggers at the tail, and a high‑strength telescopic arm provide stability and durability for heavy‑duty cycles.
- The system inherits all the functions of a standard dump truck, yet adds the versatility to swap containers in under 45 seconds – ideal for separating recyclables, organics, and residual waste with a single chassis.
3. Smart, Safe and User‑Friendly Operation
- A wireless remote control option allows the driver to perform loading/unloading from a safe distance outside the cab, improving visibility and safety.
- Built‑in anti‑drop devices, safety limit valves, and balance valves prevent accidental hook release or cylinder over‑travel.
- The cab features air‑conditioning, power steering, and a multi‑function steering wheel, reducing driver fatigue during long shifts.
4. Exceptional Economy and Regulatory Advantages
- Zero tailpipe emissions and low noise levels meet the strictest urban environmental standards, granting access to city centres without permits or time restrictions.
- Exempt from vehicle purchase tax in China, significantly lowering initial acquisition cost.
- Operating cost is roughly half that of a comparable diesel truck, with fewer consumables (no engine oil, filters, or urea) and longer service intervals.
5. Durable, Maintenance‑Friendly Construction
- The entire body and subframe undergo electrostatic powder coating with standardised positioning fixtures, providing superior corrosion resistance and a long‑lasting finish.
- All hydraulic and electrical components are grouped for easy access, and the vehicle is equipped with a remote diagnostic interface for real‑time fleet monitoring – simplifying preventive maintenance and reducing unplanned breakdowns.
6. Versatile Configuration Options
- The hook centre height (1,000 mm) and the distance to rear roller (3,230 mm) are optimised for standard 5‑8 m³ containers, but the system can be adjusted to accommodate various bin sizes (rail widths from 900‑1060 mm). This flexibility makes the truck suitable for residential collection, commercial waste, and even light construction debris – all with the same vehicle.
